We all think eating fruit means just buying fruit, cutting it up and popping it into our mouths. It's not that easy. It's important to know how and when to eat fruit.  What's the correct way to eat fruit?

 

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUIT AFTER A MEAL!

Fruit should be eaten on an EMPTY STOMACH.
Fruit is the MOST important food.

Let's say you eat two slices of bread, then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it's prevented from doing so.
In the meantime, the whole meal rots and ferments, and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach, and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.

There's no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruit becomes alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruit, you have the Secret of Beauty, Longevity, Health, Energy, Happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT the concentrated juice from the cans. Don't drink juice that has been heated. Don't eat cooked fruit; you don't get the nutrients at all. You get only the taste. Cooking destroys all of the vitamins.

Eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit-fast to cleanse your body. Eat fruit and drink fruit juice for just 3 days, and you will be surprised when y
our friends say how radiant you look!

KIWI: Tiny but mighty, and a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E and fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange!

AN APPLE: a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants and flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C, thereby helping to lower the risk of colon cancer, heart attack and stroke.

Instead of catching up with friends over dinner, schedule some brain workouts. Join them for trivia nights at a neighborhood bar, or sign up for an interesting class together at the local community college. Not only will you work your brain, but scheduled activities will ensure that you don’t let too much time pass before seeing your pal.

THE BENEFIT: Adds Years to Your Life

The Australian Longitudinal Study of Aging studied almost 1,500 seniors for a full decade. One interesting finding: having good friends increases longevity even more than having close relationships with adult children and other family. And those with the largest amount of close friends outlived those with the smallest amount by 22 percent.

MAXIMIZE IT: Expand your social network—it’s never too late to make new friends. Host a small get-together at home and ask close friends to extend the invitation to someone in their circle who you don’t know well. Or search a site like meetup.com for local get-togethers related to your hobbies and interests. And don’t be afraid to show up alone—you’ll be more likely to introduce yourself to new people without the safety net of arriving with a group.

THE BENEFIT: Lowers Stress

In a two-year study of 500 women with suspected coronary artery disease, it was found that those with a strong support system were more likely to be alive after two years. Not only that, but their rates of hypertension and diabetes were also lower. One explanation is that feeling lonely increases production of cortisol (the stress hormone) in your brain, which can lead to an increase in blood pressure and hormonal imbalances. Research also suggests that the nervous system actually registers social exclusion as physical pain.

MAXIMIZE IT: It’s easy for day-to-day life to get in the way of making dinner dates or big plans with friends…and sometimes we don’t notice how long it’s been until we feel that ache of loneliness. But busy friends don’t have to carve out huge chunks of time to connect. You both have to grocery shop, right? Pick a Saturday to run some local errands together—trim your hair, do laundry, pick some things up from the store, or cook dinner together. Who knew errands could be so fun?

THE BENEFIT: Aids in Recovery

A study of nearly 3,000 nurses with breast cancer found that there’s something to the idea of surrounding yourself with loved ones for recovery. Women without close friends were four times as likely to die from the cancer as women who had 10 or more friends. Interestingly, proximity and the amount of contact with a friend didn’t have an impact, so even those with a small number of friends who lived far away benefited from the relationships.

MAXIMIZE IT: Even if you’re 100 percent healthy, everyone can stand to reach out to out-of-town friends more often. Schedule visits or keep in touch with emails and phone calls., but think outside the box, too. Challenge your buds to an iPhone game of Words With Friends, mail a “just because” care package, share music mixes on Spotify or Grooveshark, or start a long-distance book or movie club—all great ways to keep in touch even if you don’t have time or energy for a long catchup on the phone or over email.

THE BENEFIT: Helps Good Habits Stick

Been wanting to drop a few pounds, cross “run a marathon” off your bucket list, or take up spinning? Research has shown that those who partner up to hit the gym are more likely to follow through with a consistent workout routine.

MAXIMIZE IT: Ask a friend on the same fitness level as you to set a new goal together—whether it be to pick up a totally new sport or reach a new level of fitness in something you both already do. You don’t have to schedule every workout together, but commit to meeting once a week for a yoga class, run, or workout DVD…and make sure to leave time after to catch up over brunch or a cup of tea.

Cinnamon and Honey

Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot.  It will do what some call turning to sugar.  In reality honey is always honey.  However, when left in a cool dark place for a long time it will do what I rather call “crystallizing”.

When this happens I loosen the lid, boil some water, and sit the honey container in the hot water, off of the heat and let it liquefy.  It is then as good as it ever was.

Fact on Honey and Cinnamon:

It is found that a mixture of honey and cinnamon cures most diseases.  Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world.  Scientists of today also accept honey as a‘Ram Ban’ (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases.

Honey can be used without any side effects for any kind of disease.

Today’s science says that even though honey is sweet, if taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm diabetic patients.

Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada, in its issue dated 17 January, 1995 has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by honey

 HEART DISEASES:

Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread instead of jelly and jam, and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack.

Also for those who have already had an attack, if they do this process daily, they are kept miles away from the next attack.  Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heartbeat.

In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as you age, the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and veins.

Remember when we were kids?  We had toast with real butter and cinnamon sprinkled on it!

ARTHRITIS:

Arthritis patients may take daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder.  If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon honey and half teaspoon cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week, out of 200 people so treated, practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain, and within a month mostly all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.

BAD BREATH:
People of South America, first thing in the morning gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water, so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.

 BLADDER INFECTIONS:

Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.

CANCER:

Recent research in Japan and Australia has revealed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones have been cured successfully. Patients suffering from these kinds of cancer should daily take one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder for one month 3 times a day.

CHOLESTEROL:

Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of cinnamon powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10% within 2 hours. As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken 3 times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. As per information received in the said journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS:

Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder daily for 3 days.  This process will cure most chronic cough, cold and clear the sinuses.

FATIGUE:

Recent studies have shown that the sugar content of honey is more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens who take honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts are more alert and flexible.

Dr. Milton, who has done research, says that a half tablespoon honey taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, taken daily after brushing your teeth and in the afternoon at about 3:00 p.m., when the vitality of the body starts to decrease, increases the vitality of the body within a week.

 GAS:

According to the studies done in India & Japan, it is revealed that if honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

UPSET STOMACH:

Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from the root.

HAIR LOSS:

Those suffering from hair loss or baldness, may apply a paste of hot olive oil, one tablespoon of honey, one teaspoon of cinnamon powder before bath and keep it for approx. 15 min. and then wash the hair. It was found to be effective even if kept on for 5 minutes.

HEARING LOSS:

Daily morning and night honey and cinnamon powder, taken in equal parts restores hearing.

 IMMUNE SYSTEM:

Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts.  Constant use of honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacterial and viral diseases.

INDIGESTION:

Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals.

INFLUENZA:

A scientist in Spain has proved that honey contains a natural ingredient which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.

INSECT BITES:

Take one part honey to two parts of lukewarm water and add a small teaspoon of cinnamon powder, make a paste and massage it on the itching part of the body slowly. It is noticed that the pain recedes within a minute or two.

LONGEVITY:

Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of old age. Take 4 teaspoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and 3 cups of water and boil to make like tea. Drink 1/4 cup 3 to 4 times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old age.  Life spans also increase and even a 100 year old, starts performing the chores of a 20-year-old.

PIMPLES:

Mix three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon to make a powder paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the root.

SKIN INFECTIONS:

Apply honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts to cure eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

TOOTHACHE:

Make a paste of one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and five teaspoons of honey and apply on the aching tooth. This may be applied 3 times a day till the tooth stops aching.

WEIGHT LOSS:

Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast on an empty stomach and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup of water. If taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.

Cinnamon and Honey formula for weight loss:

This should be prepared at night before going to bed.

1. Use 1 part cinnamon to 2 parts raw honey. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon to 1 teaspoon honey is recommended but you can use more or less as long as it is in the ratio of 1 to 2. --- so, 1 teaspoon cinnamon to 2 teaspoon raw honey is ok too as an example.

2. Boil 1 cup...that is 8 ounces of water.

3. Pour water over cinnamon, cover and let it steep for 1/2 hour..(30 minutes)

4. Add honey now that it has cooled. Never add honey when it is hot as the heat will destroy the enzymes and other nutrients in the raw honey.

5. Drink 1/2 of this directly before going to bed. The other 1/2 should be covered and refrigerated.

6. In the morning drink the other half that you refrigerated...but do not re-heat it...drink it cold or at room temperature only.

Do not add anything else to this recipe. No lemon, no lime, no vinegar. It is not necessary to drink it more times in a day...it is only effective on an empty stomach and primarily at night.

This works for most people. Inches are lost before any measurement on the scales. This program will cause significant inches lost...but you will reach a plateau and may not lose anymore. This is because the cinnamon and honey cause a cleansing effect in the digestive tract and cleans out parasites and other fungus and bacteria that slow down the digestion...causing a toxic build up. (Lowers pH).  Once this is all cleaned out then you will most likely have the weight loss slow down.

Other side effects from a cleansing can occur because of toxins being released...if this occurs, cut back on how much you use or take a break.

Additionally people report increased energy, more sex drive, and feeling happier/mood enhancer.

*NOTE: The honey used needs to be REAL RAW UNPASTEURIZED HONEY. If it says PURE honey it is most likely pasteurized. It is best to only buy honey that says RAW or UNPASTEURIZED on the label. The difference is that the enzymes are all heated out of the pasteurized honey.

There are other symptoms of an heart attack besides  the pain on the left arm. One must also be aware of  an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently. 

Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack..  The majority of people (about 60%) who  had a heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up.  However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep. 

If that happens:

-         immediately dissolve 2 aspirins in your mouth 

-         and swallow them with a bit of water 

Afterwards :  

           CALL 911 

-  say  "heart attack!" 

-  say that you have  taken 2 aspirins..  

-  phone a neighbor or a  family member who lives very close by 

-  take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival  and....

BURNS

A young man sprinkling his lawn and bushes with pesticides wanted to check the contents of the barrel to see how much pesticide remained in it. He raised the cover and lit his lighter; the vapors inflamed and engulfed him. He jumped from his truck, screaming. His neighbor came out of her house with a dozen eggs, y elling: "bring me some eggs!" She broke them, separating the whites from the yolks. The neighbor woman helped her to apply the whites on the young man's face. When the ambulance arrived and when the EMT's saw the young man, they asked who had done this. Everyone pointed to the lady in charge. They congratulated her and said: "You have saved his face." By the end of the summer, the young man brought the lady a bouquet of roses to thank her. His face was like a baby's skin.

Healing Miracle for burns:

Keep in mind this treatment of burns which is included in teaching beginner fireman this method. First aid consists to spraying cold water on the affected area until the heat is reduced and stops burning the layers of skin. Then, spread egg whites on the affected area.

One woman burned a large part of her hand with boiling water. In spite of the pain, she ran cold faucet water on her hand, separated 2 egg white from the yolks, beat them slightly and dipped her hand in the solution. The whites then dried and formed a protective layer.

She later learned that the egg white is a natural collagen and continued during at least one hour to apply layer upon layer of beaten egg white. By afternoon she no longer felt any pain and the next day there was hardly a trace of the burn. 10 day s later, no trace was left at all and her skin had regained its normal color. The burned area was totally regenerated thanks to the collagen in the egg whites, a placenta full of vitamins.

DRINKING WATER & AUTOMOBILES

On the Ellen show, singer Sheryl Crow said that this is what caused her breast cancer.  
It has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels of dioxin in breast cancer tissue..

Sheryl Crow's oncologist told her: women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.  The heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water. Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue.
So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.

Pass this information on to all the women in your life. This information is the kind we need to know that just might save us! Use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle instead of plastic!

LET EVERYONE WHO HAS A WIFE / DAUGHTER KNOW PLEASE!

No plastic containers in microwaves.
No plastic water bottles in freezers.
No plastic wrap in microwaves.

Dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer.
Dioxins are highly poisonous to cells in our bodies.
Don't freeze plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.
Recently the Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard.

He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating food in the microwave using plastic containers.....
This especially applies to foods that contain fat.

He said that the combination of fat, high heat and plastic releases dioxin into the food.
Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Pyrex or ceramiccontainers for heating food... You get the same result, but without the dioxin.  So, such things as TV dinners, instant soups, etc., should be removed from their containers and heated in something else.

Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's safer to use tempered glass, such as Pyrex, etc.  He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the styrene foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons....

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Cling film, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave.  As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.
Cover food with a paper towel instead.

WATER AND HEART ATTACKS

NOW THAT “SOME” OF US ARE GETTING OLDER – FYI……….

 

Here's something I didn't know!

I asked my Doctor why do I and other people urinate so much at night time.

Answer from my Cardiac Doctor... Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright.

When you lie down and the lower body (legs and other things) seeks level with the kidneys, it is then that the kidneys remove the water because it is easier. This then ties in with the last statement!

I know you need your minimum water to help flush the toxins out of your body, but this was news to me.

Drinking water at a certain time maximizes its effectiveness on the body:

  2 glasses of water after waking up - helps activate internal organs

  1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion

  1 glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower blood pressure

  1 glass of water before going to bed - avoids stroke or heart attack

Please tell the people you care about ...... I can also add to this...

My Physician told me that water at bed time will also help prevent night time leg cramps.

Your leg muscles are seeking hydration when they cramp and wake you up with a Charlie Horse.

WASH THEM FIRST

This is Serious!

This incident happened in North Texas.  A woman went boating one Sunday taking with her some cans of coke which she put into the refri gerator of the boat. On Monday she was taken to the hospital and placed in the Intensive Care Unit.  She died on Wednesday.

The autopsy concluded she died of Leptospirosis.  This was traced to the can of coke she drank from, not using a glass. Tests showed that the can was infected by dried rat urine and hence the disease Leptospirosis.

Rat urine contains toxic and deathly substances. It is highly recommended to thoroughly wash the upper part of all soda cans before drinking out of them. The cans are typically stocked in warehouses and transported straight to the shops without being cleaned.

A study at NYCU showed that the tops of all soda cans are more contaminated than public toilets (i.e.), full of germs and bacteria. So wash them with water before putting them to the mouth to avoid any kind of fatal accident.

 
 
 
 
Clorox vs Peroxide
 
VERY interesting and inexpensive. This was written by Becky Ransey of Indiana (a doctor's Wife), and I want to share it with you. She was over recently for coffee and smelled the bleach I was using to clean my toilet and counter tops. This is what she told me. 'I would like to tell you of the benefits of that Plain little ole bottle of  3% peroxide you can get for under $1.00 at any drug store. What does bleach cost?  My husband has been in the medical field for over 36 years and most doctors don't tell you about peroxide. Have you EVER smelled bleach in a doctor's office? NO!!!

Why? because it smells and it is not healthy! Ask the nurses who work in the doctor's offices, and ask them if they use bleach at home. They are wiser and know better!

Did you also know bleach was invented in the late 40's? It's chlorine, folks! And it was used to kill our troops. Peroxide was invented during WWI in the 20's. It was used to save and help cleanse the needs of our troops and hospitals.
 
Please think about this:
 
1. Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. (I do it when I bathe.) No more canker sores and your teeth will be whiter without expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash..

2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of peroxide to keep them free of germs.

3. Clean your counters and table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe, or spray it on the counters.

4. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it to kill salmonella and other bacteria.

5. I had fungus on my feet for years until I sprayed a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water on them (especially the toes) every night and let dry.


6. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for five to ten minutes several times a day. My husband has seen gangrene that would not heal with any medicine but was healed by soaking in peroxide.

7. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water and keep it in every bathroom to disinfect without harming your septic system like bleach or most other disinfectants will.

8. Tilt your head back and spray into nostrils with your 50/50 mixture whenever you have a cold or plugged sinus'. It will bubble and help to kill the bacteria. Hold for a few minutes and then blow your nose into a tissue.

9. If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.

10. And of course, if you like a natural look to your hair, spray the 50/50 solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. You will not have the peroxide-burnt blonde hair like the hair dye packages but more natural highlights if your hair is a light brown, reddish, or dirty blonde. It also lightens gradually, so it's not a drastic change.

11. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help get rid of boils, fungus, or other skin infections.

12. You can also add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites in your laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing, pour it directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a minute, then rub it and rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary.

13. I use peroxide to clean my mirrors. There is no smearing, which is why I love it so much for this.

14.. Another place it's great is in the bathroom, if someone has been careless & has wet on the floor around the toilet & it's begun to smell of urine. Just put some peroxide in a spray bottle & spray. In the blink of any eye all the smell will be gone & the bacteria eliminated!

I could go on and on. It is a little brown bottle no home should be without! With prices of most necessities rising, I'm glad there's a way to save tons of money in such a simple, healthy manner! ' This information really woke me up. I hope you gain something from it, too.

Doctors say that a bystander can recognize stroke by asking four questions.

1. Ask the person to smile.
2. Ask the person to talk and speak a simple coherent sentence.  (i.e. "Today is Monday")
3. Ask the person to raise both hands.
4. Ask the person to stick out their tongue - a crooked tongue to one side or the other may be a sign of a stroke.

The importance of drinking water.

We all know or have heard how important it is to drink water. Drinking water is necessary for good health and drinking two glasses of water after waking to get your internal organs working. Drinking a glass a half hour before meals would help better digest your food. Water acts as a flushing agent releasing toxins from your system. It is not recommended to drink cold water after or during a meal. Warm water or tea is healthier after a meal. A glass of water before going to sleep will help you avoid a heart attack or stroke during the night. This information is from a heart specialist. Drink at least eight glasses of water daily.

ABOUT THE FLU SHOT
